Lovely vet practice, very caring! I think our vet was called emily, she was absolutely great, very thorough examination with my 2 cats and she was so friendly.

I really don’t rate this vets and after several experiences here I eventually decided to change vets and won’t be going back. On one visit I was casually told that my dog had cancer, which was complete news to me. You can imagine what hearing something like that does to an owner, yet it was spoken about as though it was something I should already know. On another occasion my partner took our dog in because she was regurgitating her food. She was prescribed anti-sickness medication, but the actual problem turned out to be her bad teeth she couldn’t chew her food properly. My partner had only been gone around 30 minutes when I tried to return the medication, but they refused to accept it because they said they couldn’t know what conditions it had been stored in. I understand practices need rules around returned medication, but considering the circumstances and how quickly we returned, it was incredibly frustrating after paying for medication she didn’t need in the first place. I’ve also paid around £50 here for eye drops that I later found could be bought over the counter for about £11. Then there’s the consultation fee around £65 a visit, including repeat visits. I appreciate vets have overheads and veterinary care isn’t cheap, but £65 every time you walk through the door soon becomes ridiculous. My biggest issue is trust. People absolutely love their animals and when they’re poorly you’re vulnerable you’ll pay whatever you need to because you want them better. After my experiences here, I increasingly felt like I was being charged at every opportunity rather than getting value or reassurance from the care we were receiving. Eventually enough was enough. I changed vets and I wouldn’t go back.

Very good from start to finish

My visit today was very good and was assisted with setting up a pet plan by receptionist to help with future costs and welfare for my dog. Overall a very helpful and pleasant experience

We have been with Gilmoor Vets for nearly 10 years. It is a brilliant practice. You get a nice welcome when you go in and all the staff are really knowable and polite and helpful and they make our dog feel at ease. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have taken my dogs here for the last 9 years , I feel very confident that my Dogs receive the best care here all the Vets and Nurses are very professional and knowledgeable.

Very friendly staff and my dog is always put at ease whenever he visits with a treat or 2. The vet is very informative and helpful for any issues or concerns I have.
